Sunday, November 22nd, 2020

Fine Creek VFD would like to announce that we have added a new piece of apparatus today! Ranger 704 is a Polaris Ranger 1000 that has been specially modified for fire and rescue needs in Powhatan County. Our members have put in many hours modifying the Polaris that now has a skid unit containing a pump and a 55 gallon water tank and is foam capable for brush fires. It is also is outfitted with a Stokes basket for rescuing injured persons located deep in the woods, or anywhere regular vehicles cannot get to. With the project completed, today was training for members and operators. After the completion of today's training, Ranger 704 was placed in service and is ready to serve the citizens of Powhatan County.
