Thursday April 8th around 2pm Tanker 4, Tanker 2, Brush 1, Brush 2, Gator 4, and the Forestry Dozer responded to a woods fire on Happy Hollow Road.  Tanker 4 arrived to find about a one acre of woods on fire.  Arriving rigs supplied firefighters with hand tools and leaf blowers to start cutting a hand line around the fire.  Gator 4 was able to access the woods and used their water to work and darken down the head of the fire.  The Forestry Dozer arrived about the time the fire was marked under control but still used to cut a fire line around the fire due to the high winds and dry conditions.  Companies operated on scene until about 5:00 and the fire consumed about an acer of land.  Firefighter Will Hendel operated command after Chief warner had left the scene.
